Following the OIE report, Ref. No. 27309 dated 25 July 2018, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Rostovskaya Oblast, Russian Federation. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Rostovskaya Oblast, Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

The Saudi Ministry of Agriculture issued the Decision No. 308371 dated 12 May 2014 (13/07/1435 H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of Live cattle" from Brazil, due to the outbreak of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) in Brazil. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 95/79731/1439 dated 29 July 2018 (16/11/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of Live cattle originating from Brazil. Based on a visit report submitted by a Saudi technical team, which recommended lifting the importation ban of live Cattle from Brazil to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under certain conditions.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued the Decision No. 253/1291/1438 dated 30 July 2017 (7/11/1438H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of equine" from Spain and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, due to the outbreak of Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) in Spain and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. On 4 June 2018, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued the Decision No. 40/79731/1439 entitled lifting the temporary ban on the importation of equine originating from Spain. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 84/79731/1439 dated 22 July 2018 (09/11/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of equine originating from Macedonia. Based on OIE reports in the last three months, EIA has not been registered in Macedonia. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 12.5, the risk of importing equine from Macedonia is negligible.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued the Decision No. 250/1291/1439 dated 4 March 2018 (16/06/1439 H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of equine" from Slovak Republic, due to the outbreak of Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) in Slovak Republic. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 84/79731/1439 dated 22 July 2018 (09/11/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of equine originating from Slovak Republic. Based on OIE reports in the last three months, EIA has not been registered in Slovak Republic. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 12.5, the risk of importing equine from Slovak Republic is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued the notice executive order No. 8/36 dated 25 November 2014 entitled "Temporary Ban of Importation of Poultry Meat, Eggs and their Products Originating from Hekendorp, Utrecht, the Netherlands", due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has subsequently issued the notice administrative order No. 64422 dated 12 July 2018 (28/10/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Hekendorp, Utrecht, the Netherlands. Based on OIE reports No. 26360 and 26361 dated 4 April 2018, the Netherlands is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from the Netherlands is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has subsequently issued the notice administrative order No. 64422 dated 12 July 2018 (28/10/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Friesland, the Netherlands. Based on OIE reports No. 26360 and 26361 dated 4 April 2018, the Netherlands is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from the Netherlands is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has subsequently issued the notice administrative order No. 64422 dated 12 July 2018 (28/10/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Groningen, the Netherlands. Based on OIE reports No. 26360 and 26361 dated 4 April 2018, the Netherlands is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from the Netherlands is negligible.

Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Ghana to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued the Decision No. 253/1291/1438 dated 30 July 2017 (7/11/1438H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of equine" from Spain, due to the outbreak of Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) in Spain. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 40/79731/1439 dated 4 June 2018 (20/09/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of equine originating from Spain. Based on OIE reports in the last three months, EIA has not been registered in Spain. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 12.5, the risk of importing equine from Spain is negligible.

Following the OIE reports, ref. No. 21, Vol. 31 dated 18 May 2018, which indicates that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak has occurred in Nepal. It is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI Disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live Bird, Hatching Egg and One day Old Chick from Nepal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.
