The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) lifts the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Hekendorp, Utrecht, the Netherlands

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued the notice executive order No. 8/36 dated 25 November 2014 entitled "Temporary Ban of Importation of Poultry Meat, Eggs and their Products Originating from Hekendorp, Utrecht, the Netherlands", due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has subsequently issued the notice administrative order No. 64422 dated 12 July 2018 (28/10/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Hekendorp, Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Based on OIE reports No. 26360 and 26361 dated 4 April 2018, the Netherlands is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from the Netherlands is negligible.
