Description
The Saudi Ministry of Agriculture issued the Decision No. 308371 dated 12 May 2014 (13/07/1435 H) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of Live cattle" from Brazil, due to the outbreak of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) in Brazil. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued the Decision No. 95/79731/1439 dated 29 July 2018 (16/11/1439 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of Live cattle originating from Brazil.
Based on a visit report submitted by a Saudi technical team, which recommended lifting the importation ban of live Cattle from Brazil to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under certain conditions.
