This is to inform that the revision of "the Ministerial Ordinance for Enforcement of the Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Diseases Control" notified in G/SPS/N/JPN/294 dated 7 March 2012 will enter into force on 28 February 2017. As was announced in G/SPS/N/JPN/471/Add.1, the revised Article 45 of "the Ministerial Ordinance for Enforcement of the Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" will enter into force on 1 November 2017. Following the advance notice in G/SPS/N/JPN/471 and G/SPS/N/JPN/471/Add.1, MAFF is proposing draft Animal Health Requirements to set out detailed import conditions to be applied to raw milk/milk products to be imported to Japan from 1 November 2017. This notice is issued to correct the Description of Content in Item 6 of notification G/SPS/N/JPN/500, dated 27 January 2017, as follows: "Dazomet, Metam and Methyl isothiocyanate are used as pesticide respectively. Dazomet and Methyl isothiocyanate can be readily metabolized to Methyl isothiocyanate in plants. Therefore, Japan is considering the MRL as a group of these substances." should be replaced with "Dazomet, Metam and Methyl isothiocyanate are used as pesticide respectively. Dazomet and Metam can be readily metabolized to Methyl isothiocyanate in plants. Therefore, Japan is considering the MRL as a group of these substances."

Dazomet, Metam and Metyl isothiocyanate are used as pesticide respectively. Dazomet and Metyl isothiocyanate can be readily metabolized to Metyl isothiocyanate in plants. Therefore, Japan is considering the MRL as a group of these substances.

This is to inform that the emergency measures notified in G/SPS/N/JPN/405 dated 7 May 2015, G/SPS/N/JPN/405/Corr.1 dated 2 June 2015 and G/SPS/N/JPN/405/Add.1 dated 24 July 2015 has been in effect from 24 November 2016 as regular measures. This effect was notified in advance in G/SPS/N/JPN/438 dated 16 December 2015 specifically page 3 of the attachment and G/SPS/N/JPN/438/Add.1 dated 24 May 2016.
