Revision of the Standards and Specifications for Foods and Food Additives under the Food Sanitation Law (Revision of agricultural chemical residue standards)

This notice is issued to correct the Description of Content in Item 6 of notification G/SPS/N/JPN/500, dated 27 January 2017, as follows:
"Dazomet, Metam and Methyl isothiocyanate are used as pesticide respectively. Dazomet and Methyl isothiocyanate can be readily metabolized to Methyl isothiocyanate in plants. Therefore, Japan is considering the MRL as a group of these substances." should be replaced with "Dazomet, Metam and Methyl isothiocyanate are used as pesticide respectively. Dazomet and Metam can be readily metabolized to Methyl isothiocyanate in plants. Therefore, Japan is considering the MRL as a group of these substances."
