The notified order, adopted by the French authorities pursuant to Article 54 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002, suspends the importation, introduction and placing on the market, whether free of charge or for a consideration, of foodstuffs or animal feed containing residues of the following active substances: glufosinate, mancozeb, thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim and benomyl, given the risks to human health in the event of dietary exposure to those substances.This suspension concerns various fruits, vegetables, cereals, mushrooms and algae, in which residues of the substances concerned may also be present at levels that are a cause for concern.

The notified Order suspends, for a period of one year, the entry and import into France, and the placing on the market in France, whether free of charge or in return for payment, of food supplements containing the plant Garcinia cambogia Desr. and all preparations made from part of this plant. Products already on the market must be withdrawn. It enters into effect on 16 April 2025.

The notified Order, adopted by the French authorities in accordance with Article 54 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002, suspends the placing on the market of fresh fruit and vegetables exposing consumers to the active substance thiacloprid in view of the serious risks to human health that may result from dietary exposure to the active substance thiacloprid.

The notified Order suspends, for one year from the date of entry into force of the measure, the entry and importation into France, and the placing on the market in France, whether free of charge or in return for payment, of fresh cherries for consumption from countries where the use of plant protection products containing the active substance phosmet is authorized for the treatment of cherry trees. The measure excludes cherries that are grown organically in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018.

Ban, for one year from the date of entry into force of the above-mentioned Order of 21 February 2022, on the entry and importation into France, and the placing on the market in France, of meat and meat products from animals that have been treated with antimicrobial medicinal products to promote growth or increase yield, under Article 107.2 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on veterinary medicinal products and repealing Directive 2001/82/EC.

As from 1 June 2021, the French National Plant Protection Organization (Directorate-General for Food) will progressively cease the use of the original secure paper version of the phytosanitary certificates for export and re-export. The phytosanitary certificates will be printed exclusively on normal A4 paper as from 1 January 2022. These provisions are without prejudice to the development of electronic phytosanitary certification. The following information will be included on phytosanitary certificates printed on normal A4 paper: 1. Box 2 on the top right of the certificate will contain a local reference number (N°) followed below by a certificate number (Integrated Management System for Official Controls, IMSOC reference). 2. To the right of the two aforementioned numbers in Box 2 of the certificate, there will be a QR code, which will serve as as a security and authentication tool. 3. The certificate number or "IMSOC reference" must be used for all communication concerning the phytosanitary certificate issued. 4. The certificate number or "IMSOC reference" must have the following format: "PHYTO.FR.AAAA.XXXXXXX".

The notified Order prohibits for one year, as from the date of entry into force of the measure, the entry, importation and placing on the market of fresh cherries for consumption from member States of the European Union or third countries where the use of phytopharmaceutical products containing the active substance dimethoate is authorized for the treatment of cherry trees, with the exception of cherries that are produced organically in accordance with the provisions of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 of 28 June 2007.

Interdiction d'importation et de mise sur le marché de cerises fraîches destinées à l'alimentation en provenance d'Etats membres de l'Union européenne ou de pays tiers où l'utilisation de produits phytopharmaceutiques contenant la substance active diméthoate est autorisée en traitement des cerisiers à l'exclusion des cerises qui proviennent d'une production biologique conforme aux dispositions du règlement (CE) n° 834/2007 du Conseil du 28 juin 2007.

The notified Order amends the health requirements governing the importation of plants, plant products and other related objects. It provides that, in the event of post-shipment certification of the goods, the date of inspection must be indicated under the heading "Additional declaration", in accordance with paragraph 4 of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 12, if the exporting country is on the alert list published by the European Commission.
