The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products, including pork meat and semen, and suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the said commodities. It also declares the stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the aforementioned goods into the country by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

Pursuant to DA Memorandum Circular No. 12 dated 2 June 2017, entitled "Importation Procedures for Live Animals into the Philippines", the following provisions are hereby issued for clarity: 1. Live animals shall include Hatching eggs, Genetic Materials (Semen, Embryo and Ova); 2. Wild animals shall include exotic birds, etc.

The Order lifts the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds originating from the Slovak Republic.  Based on the final report by Dr Jozef Bires, Director and Chief Veterinary Officer, Department of Animal Heald and Welfare in Bratislava, Slovak Republic to the World Organisation for Animal Health, the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) events in the Slovak Republic (with previous temporary banning order: DA MO No. 15, series of 2006) are now closed and resolved. In accordance to the provisions of Chapter 10.4, article 10.4.3 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code 2017, the Slovak Republic is now free from HPAI.  Based on the evaluation of the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), the risk of contamination from importing domestic and wild birds such as parrots from the Slovak Republic is negligible.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products, including pork meat and semen from Zimbabwe. It also immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the above-stated commodities. All shipments of the above-stated commodities into the country shall be stopped and confiscated by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

All shipments of the above-stated commodities into the country shall be stopped and confiscated by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

All shipments of the above-stated commodities into the country shall be stopped and confiscated by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

The FDA Circular serves as a guide for all food manufacturers, importers and distributors of processed food products containing Aluminum Lake Colors, as well as the general public. The Circular also aims to demonstrate compliance with food safety and quality measures prior to issuance of FDA authorizations.

This Circular aims to rationalize and put in place an effective food control system for the importation and exportation of plant food to protect health of consumers and ensure fair practices in trade of plant food.

The Order temporarily suspends system accreditation of all German FMEs to export meat into the Philippines pending the results of the thorough investigation to be conducted by DA. Shipments of meat in transit upon the issuance of this Order will be allowed to enter the country subject to 100% physical inspection.  The Order also immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS import clearance from Germany starting on 1 July 2019.

The Order implements safeguards/biosecurity measures for the importation of plant-based, medium risk feed productsw originating from ASF-infected countries.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products from Hong Kong, China and immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance of the aforementioned goods. All shipments of the said commodities into the country will be stopped and confiscated by DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports. Importation of feed ingredients or porcine origin is subject to the conditions provided in Article 15.1.22 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, 2018.

The Order lifts the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild pigs including pork meat, pig skin and semen originating from Japan.  Based on the evaluation of the Bureau of Animal Industry, the risk of contamination of classical swine fever virus from importing pig and pig products from Japan is negligible.  All import transactions of the above products shall be in accordance with existing rules and regulations of the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Industry and the National Meat Inspection Service.

The Order bans the importation of processed porcine/pork meal for animal fee use and immediately suspends the issuance of Sanitary/Phytosanitary Import Clearance (SPS-IC) for the said commodities. All shipments of the aforementioned goods into the country will be confiscated by Department of Agriculture (DA) Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products, including pork meat and semen and immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the said commodities. All shipments of the aforementioned commodities into the country shall be stopped and confiscated by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products including pork meat, pig skin and semen coming from Viet Nam and immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the said commodities. All shipments into the country of the aforementioned goods will likewise be stopped and confiscated by DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors. Importation of feed ingredients of porcien origin is subject to the conditions provided in Article 15.1.22 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code 2018.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products, including pork meat and semen and immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the said commodities. All shipments of the aforementioned goods into the country will be stopped and confiscated by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports. Frozen pork meats from accredited establishments already in transit upon issuance of this Order are allowed to enter the country subject to veterinary quarantine rules and regulations.

The Department of Agriculture would like to add the attached Annex 1 to the notified Department Circular No.18 Series of 2018, Philippines List of Regulated Plant Pests.

The Order bans the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen from India. It also suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of sanitary and phytosanitary import clearance for the said commodities. Likewise, all shipments into the country of the aforementioned goods, except those heat-treated, will be stopped and confiscated by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.

The DA issues the initial list of regulated plant pests for the guidance of all concerned.
