The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Nepal, has proposed a standard for Gundruk. This quality standard will apply to Gundruk produced for human consumption and prepared for sale and distribution purposes.Gundruk is a traditional indigenous food of Nepal, and the Codex Alimentarius Commission has not yet developed a standard for Gundruk.

The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Nepal has proposed the Quality and Hygienic standard for Soya Bari in order to protect the health of the consumers by controlling the quality and safety of the product and facilitating fair trade.The Codex Alimentarius Commission has not developed a standard for Soya Bari yet. But the standard is in accordance with the Regional Standard-the FSSAI standard.

The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Nepal has proposed a quality and safety standard for rolled oats in order to protect the health of consumers by controlling the quality and safety of the products and facilitating safe trade.

The Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Centre in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Nepal has determined the quarantine pest of different agriculture commodities and will adopt the phytosanitary measures as mentioned to control entry, spread and establishment of quarantine pest.

Nepal proposes a mandatory quality and safety standard for Chhurpi, a traditional product of Nepal. Chhurpi is produced from milk of cow, yak or buffalo or mixed milk from traditional processing methods and is used for human consumption as well as for feed as chew. The purpose of this standard is to regulate the quality and hygiene of the product in order to ensure consumer health and fair trade.
