Following the OIE reports, ref. No. 24102 dated 19 June 2017, ref. No. 24127 dated 22 June 2017 and ref. No. 24198 dated 3 July 2017, which indicate that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, South Africa and Togo, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI disease into the country. Therefore, the import of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, South Africa and Togo to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) special alert No. 338, dated 26 May 2017, which indicates that Tilapia Lake Virus outbreak has occurred in Egypt, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the import of live fish from Egypt to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 29, Vol. 30 dated 18 July 2017, which indicates that Equine Infections Anaemia (EIA) outbreak has reoccurred in Spain and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of EIA disease into the country. Therefore, the import of equine from Spain and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE reports, ref. No. 27, Vol. 30 dated 3 July 2017, and ref. No. 28, Vol. 30 dated 10 July 2017, which indicate that Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) outbreaks have reoccurred in Netherlands and Switzerland, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of EIA disease into the country. Therefore, the import of equine from Netherlands and Switzerland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 30, Vol. 30 dated 21 July 2017, which indicates that African Horse Sickness (AHS) outbreak has reoccurred in Swaziland, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of AHS disease into the country. Therefore, the import of equine from Swaziland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, Ref. No. 24188 dated 30 June 2017, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, Ref. No. 24241 dated 10 July 2017, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 24, Vol. 30 dated 9 June 2017, which indicates that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak has reoccurred in Luxembourg, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI disease into the country. Therefore, the import of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from Luxembourg to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Therefore, the import of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from Zimbabwe to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

This draft technical regulation applies to all kinds of frozen fish.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 22, Vol. 30 dated 25 May 2017, which indicates that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak has reoccurred in Congo, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI disease into the country. Therefore, the import of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from Congo to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

This draft technical regulation applies to frozen fish fillets of all type intended for direct human consumption with or without skin without any additional manufacturing processes. But not for the product intended for further manufacturing processes or for other industrial purposes.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued the Decision No. 32256 dated 11 June 2017, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Kheroson, Ukraine. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in the Decision No. 13371 dated 28 December 2016 (29/03/1438 AH) imposed a temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Kheroson, Ukraine, due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Kheroson, Ukraine. Based on OIE reports No. 23789 dated 14 May 2017, Kheroson, Ukraine is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from Kheroson, Ukraine is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued the Decision No. 31938 dated 7 June 2017, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Lubuskie, Poland. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in the Decision No. 13374 dated 28 December 2016 (29/03/1438 AH) imposed a temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Lubuskie, Poland, due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Lubuskie, Poland. Based on OIE reports No. 23601 dated 20 April 2017, Lubuskie, Poland is free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from Lubuskie, Poland is negligible.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued the Decision No. 32256 dated 11 June 2017, lifting the temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Odessa and Chernovtsy in Ukraine. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in the Decision No. 17056 dated 22 January 2016 (24/04/1438 AH) imposed a temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Odessa and Chernovtsy in Ukraine, due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Odessa and Chernovtsy in Ukraine. Based on OIE reports No. 23789 dated 14 May 2017, Odessa and Chernovtsy in Ukraine are free from HPAI. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing poultry meat, eggs and their products from Odessa and Chernovtsy in Ukraine is negligible.
