Morphological Features

Adult females are larger and deep black in color with a stout and robust abdomen; adult males are smaller, pale in color with a slender abdomen. Eyes with five weakly-pigmented facets; ocellar setae I present, setae III elongate; five pairs of postocular setae present. Antennae 8-segmented; segments III and IV with elongate forked sense cones; segments III–VI with some microtrichia on both surfaces; segment VI with an elongate sense cone at the base.
