Bactrocera minax

Abdomen elongate oval and petiolate, similar to many Dacus species; terga III–V orange-brown with a moderately broad transverse fuscous band across anterior margin of tergum III and a medium width medial longitudinal pale fuscous band over all three terga; anterolateral corners of tergum IV fuscous, those of tergum V pale fuscous. Face fulvous with narrow elongate facial spots reaching oral margin. Wings with cells bc and c fuscous; microtrichia in outer corner of cell bc and outer half of cell c; a broad fuscous costal band overlapping R4+5, becoming darker towards apex but not expanding into a spot; a narrow fuscous cubital streak not reaching wing margin; supernumerary lobe weak. Thorax and abdomen with general red-brown colour patterns. Phallus elongate (6.17 mm) excluding glans (0.5 mm); eversible membrane elongate (3.35 mm) with conical spicules on distal end. Male epandrium and surstyli inverted U-shaped in posterior view.
