The Ministry of Agriculture is imposing a temporary ban on the importation of birds other than poultry, live poultry and poultry products including poultry meat from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Following the notification published by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on 22 December 2017, regarding the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza virus (HPAI) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan is applying a precautionary sanitary measure to prevent the risk of introducing HPAI virus through the imports of live birds and their products from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The following are excluded from the ban decision:
Specific pathogen-free products (SPF eggs);
Hatching eggs;
Parent and grandparent one-day old chicks; and
Heat-treated products.
