Detection of Avian Influenza in the countries with which the Republic of Moldova trades the products mentioned above.
The purpose of this law is to ensure the protection of human and animal health and consumer interests in relation to food safety, taking into account the diversity of food supply, ensuring the efficient functioning of the market.
This law establishes the conditions and procedure for the registration, manufacture, import, export, storage, distribution and release of veterinary medicinal products for the purpose of their placement on the Republic of Moldova's market.
This Government Decision establishes new conditions for carrying out sanitary-veterinary, phytosanitary, food safety and plant protection and fertilizers products' controls at Border Inspection Posts, as well as bringing them in line with the relevant European Union requirements. It also contributes to the simplification and streamlining of procedures for checking the goods to be inspected at the State border of the Republic of Moldova by the inspectors from the National Food Safety Agency, as well as veterinary, phytosanitary and food safety regulations.
The Government decision regulates the requirements concerning the import of plants, plant products and other goods subject of the phytosanitary control.
This Government Decision approves the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the National Food Safety Agency. The Regulation contains the mission, fields of activity, functions, rights and obligations of the National Food Safety Agency, as well as organization of its activity. Additionally, it stipulated the number of SPSrelated border inspection posts, which inspect the import of animal, non-animal origin products and live animals.
The Government decision contains the requirements relating to the production, import and placing on the market of the meat (or the raw material). It also contains the organoleptic characteristics of the meat. It also stipulates the requirements related to the lactic acid that is used to reduce microbial contamination of surface of carcases of bovine animals.
This draft decision establishes clear and transparent models of acts necessary for the importation, storage and production of plant protection products (pesticides, agri chemicals) and fertilizers. It provides simple models for the following acts: 1. model of the notification about the importation of plant protection products and fertilizers; 2. model of the notification about the manufacture of plant protection products and/or fertilizer; 3. model of the notification concerning the request for validation and registration of specialized deposits for storing plant protection products and/or fertilizers; 4. plant passport model.
The Annex 1 from Government Decision no. 1405 of 10 December 2008 was modified on 21 December 2015 and includes maximum residue limits of undesired substances in animal feed. This ensures that all animal feed on Moldavan markets meet the minimum requirements regarding the content of undesirable substances. Rules on feeding stuffs are needed to ensure agricultural productivity and sustainability and to make it possible to ensure public and animal health, animal welfare and the environment.
The scope of the mentioned Order is to monitor the placing on the market of food products affected by drug residues and forbide the placing on the market of food products that exceed the Maximum Residue Limits.
The mentioned document relates to stepping up measures to prevent the introduction of avian influenza H5N8 disease in the territory of the Republic of Moldova. It introduces a temporary ban on the import and transit of live poultry, hatching eggs, eggs and egg products for consumption, day-old chicks, food for birds, feed additives for birds, feathers, meat and bone meal, poultry, poultry meat products from the regions of the countries mentioned in the point 4. The measures are taken on a temporary basis, id est until the stabilization of the epizootic situation in the mentioned regions.
