Costa Rica hereby advises that it has amended Resolution No. 033-2019-ARP-SFE establishing phytosanitary requirements for the importation of plants for planting of all reported host species of Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum haplotypes C, D and E, by removing paragraph 1 of the "Por tanto" section. This amendment has been made in order to eliminate the phytosanitary requirements applicable to seeds of plants of the Apiaceae family, as recent scientific information shows that transmission of the pest Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum through seeds is negligible. https://members.wto.org/crnattachments/2020/SPS/CRI/20_4518_00_s.pdf

The notified Central American Technical Regulation establishes the specifications to be met by butter. It applies to butter for direct human consumption or further processing in the territory of the States Parties.

The notified draft Resolution establishes the mandatory phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of hemp (Cannabis sativa) seeds for sowing, of any origin.

Please be advised that a number of clerical errors have been corrected in the "Por tanto" section of Resolution No. 042-2020-ARP-SFE of the State Phytosanitary Service, Standards and Regulations Department, Pest Risk Analysis Unit, establishing phytosanitary requirements for the importation of potato (Solanum tuberosum) seeds for sowing originating in the Netherlands.
