Identity and Quality Standard for Kombucha.

This draft resolution establishes the maintenance of the active ingredient Abamectina in pesticides in Brazil and other measures stemming from its toxicological revaluation.

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient C32 - CLETODIM from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of post-emergency use (application): - includes the duboisia culture with MRL and safety security period of "Non-food use".

This draft normative instruction establishes the technical requirements for statement of nutrition labelling for packaged food. The main objective of this regulation is to review the nutritional facts label requirements to facilitate the decision making by Brazilian consumers. Specific objectives include: (a) improving the visibility and readability of nutritional information; (b) reduce situations that can mislead consumers regarding nutritional composition; (c) facilitate nutritional comparison; (d) improve the accuracy of declared nutritional values; and (e) broaden the scope of nutritional information.The main normative changes proposed are:1) In the nutrition facts table: (a) inclusion of the mandatory declaration of total sugars and added sugars; (b) inclusion of the mandatory declaration of nutritional values per 100g or ml of the product to facilitate the nutritional comparisons; (c) reduction of allowable variability in declared portion sizes, requiring the declaration of the number of portions contained in the package and revision of the rules for individual packaging; (d) review of the reference values for the percent daily value statement, considering the nutritional needs of the Brazilian population; and (e) adoption of specific readability rules to increase standardization, visibility and reading;2) The adoption of a front-of-pack nutrition labelling model designed to inform, in a simple, objective and proportional way to achieve the objectives of the regulatory intervention, the high content of added sugars, saturated fats and sodium present in food that shall be declared at the top part of the main panel and meet specific readability requirements to ensure standardization, visibility and readability of information;3) Adjustment of the criteria for declaring nutrition claims to avoid the transmission of inconsistent and contradictory information to consumers by adopting specific rules for cases where the product has front-of-pack nutrition labelling. This regulation will be also notified to the TBT committee.

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient E22 - EPOXICONAZOL (epoxiconazole) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of foliar use (application): - changes the MRL of the oat culture from 0.5 to 6.0 mg/kg.

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient A31 – ÁCIDO 4-INDOL-3-ILBUTÍRICO (4-indol-3-ylbutyric acid) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers: - includes the potato, onion, papaya and melon cultures with MRL and safety security period "not determined" in the modality of foliar use (application); - includes the potato culture with MRL and safety security period "not determined" in the modality of soil use (application).

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient F28 - FENPROPATRINA (fenpropathrin) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of foliar use (application): -includes the fruits of the genus Capsicum or of the genus Pimenta, eggplant, jilo, pepper and okra cultures with MRL of 0.2 mg/kg and safety security period of 3 days.

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient T24 – TRIFLURALINA (trifluralin) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of pre-emergency use (application): - includes the wheat culture with MRL of 0.01 mg/kg and safety security period "not determined due to the modality of use (application).

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient P46 – PIRACLOSTROBINA (pyraclostrobin) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers: - includes the soursop, kiwi and pomegranate cultures with MRL of 0.7 mg/kg and safety security period of 7 days in the modality of foliar use (application); - includes the yacon, beetroot, greater yam, yams, arracacha, turnip and radish cultures with MRL of 0.2 mg/kg and safety security period of 7 days in the modality of foliar use (application); - includes the chickpea, lentil and caupi bean cultures with MRL of 0.02 mg/kg and safety security period of 14 days in the modality of foliar use (application);- includes the alstroemeria, alyssum, amaryllis, azalea, snapdragon, purple arrowroot, cockscomb, coleus, carnation,dubosia, euonymus, ruscus, gardenia, geranium, gerbera, gladiolus, hydrangea, lantana, lily, lisianthus, daisy, pinus, ptoporium, garden sage, Sedum makinoi, rubber tree, vervain, vincan and zinnia cultures with MRL and safe security period "not determined" in the modality of foliar use (application);- changes the MRL of the acai, coconut, palm nuts, macadamia nuts pine nuts and peach palm cultures from  0.2 to 0.5 mg/kg in the modality of foliar use (application);- changes the MRL of the cotton culture from 0.2 to 0.5 mg/kg in the modalities of foliar and seed use (application); - changes the MRL of the potato culture from 0.01 to 0.02 mg/kg in the modalities of foliar and planting furrow use (application); - changes the MRL of the beetroot culture from 0.1 to 0.2 mg/kg in the modality of foliar use (application); - changes the MRL from 0.02 to 0.2 mg/kg and the safety security period from 30 to 7 days for the manioc culture in the modality of foliar use (application); - changes the MRL of the mango, cupuacu, guarana and passion fruit cultures from 0.5 to 0.7 mg/kg in the modality of foliar use (application).

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient F70 - FLUENSULFONA (fluensulfone) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers: - includes the garlic and onion cultures with MRL of 0.05 mg/kg and safety security period "not determined" in the modality of pre-planting use (application);  -includes the beetroot, arracacha, melon and watermelon cultures with MRL of 0.2 mg/kg and safety security period "not determined" in the modality of pre-planting use (application); - includes the tobacco and duboisia cultures with MRL and safety security period of "Non-food use" in the modality of soil use (application); - changes the phrase at item "j": "for the purpose of residue definition for conformity with MRL, it will be considered the sum of the ingredient Fluensulfona (fluensulfone) and its acid metabolit 3,4,4- trifluorobut-3-eno-1-sulfônico (synonyms: butene-sulfonic acid (BSA) and M-3637), expressed as equivalent of  fluensulfone, and for the dietary risk assessment it will be considered the ingredient of fluensulfone".

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient E26 - ESPIROMESIFENO (spiromesifen) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of foliar use (application): - includes the lettuce, chard, watercress, witloof chicory, chicory, spinach, stevia rebaudiana and rucola cultures with MRL of 15 mg/kg and safety security period of 1 day; - includes the cucumber, pumpkin, zucchini, chayote and maxixe cultures with MRL of 0.6 mg/kg and safety security period of 1 day; - includes the cabbage, broccoli, kale, chinese cabbage, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower with MRL of 0.1 mg/kg and safety security period of 3 days; - includes the mango, avocado, pineapple, papaya and passion fruit cultures with MRL of 0.7 mg/kg and safety security period of 5 days; - includes plants for ornamental purposes: crysanthemun, roses, begonias, poinsettias and orchid cultures with MRL and safe security period of "Non-food use".

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient F43 - FIPRONIL (fipronil) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modalities of foliar and seeding aplication: - includes the acacia, black wattle, araucaria, paricá, pinus, populus, rubber tree and teak cultures with MRL and safety security period of "Non-food use".

This Draft resolution incorporates the following changes for the active ingredient E29 - ETIPROLE (ethiprole) from the Relation of Monographies of Active Ingredients of Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, all in the modality of foliar use (application): - includes the soya culture with MRL of 0.08 mg/kg and safety security period of 14 days; - changes the phrase at item "j": "for the purpose of residue definition for conformity with MRL, it will be considered the active ingredient ethiprole, and for the dietary risk assessment it will be considered the sum of the ingredient ethiproleof and its metabolits 5-amino-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4-ethylsulfonylpyrazole-3- carbonitrile (RPA 097973) and 5-amino-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4- ethylsulfonylpyrazole-3-carboxamide (RPA 112916), expressed as ethiprole.".

The regulation  - Draft of Phytosanitary Import Requirements for fruits and plants products intended for propagation or reproduction - applies to specific countries (Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain).
