Resolution 866, 10 May 2024 - previously notified through  G/SPS/N/BRA/2303 - was changed by Resolution 874, 27 May 2024. The regulation contains provisions on exceptional and temporary actions to be adopted by the Brazilian Health  Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) for the international donation of food exempt from market registration, cosmetics, hygiene products and sanitizing products subject to health inspection, to combat the state of public calamity resulting from events climate in the State of Rio Grande do Sul.The final text is available only in Portuguese and can be downloaded at:

Please be informed that Circular Letter No. 108/2024/DHC/CGI/DIPOA/SDA/MAPA was published on 9 May 2024. This document introduces the Health Certificate model for exporting non-commercial samples to Brazil.It should be noted that the health certificate model itself has not changed. The only modification is an addition to item 1 of the Circular Letter, which now references Decree No. 6.296 of 11 December 2007. This ordinance permits the use of this certificate for the import of samples of animal feed products without commercial value, in addition to products for human consumption.Furthermore, we also acknowledge that the model health certificate issued will not necessarily have the same format as the attached model, due to the diversity of the computer systems used in different countries. However, all certificates must include the fields and items of this model.It is to be noted that countries that do not have a bilaterally certificate agreed with Brazil for exporting a certain product, but need to send samples of products suitable for human or animal consumption and without commercial value to Brazil (such as for participation in international competitions or for scientific research purposes) should use this model.

Regulates Law No. 6.198, of 26 December 1974, and Law No. 14.515, of 29 December 2022, to regulate the mandatory inspection and supervision of products intended for animal feed.

Resolution 854, 4 April 2024 - previously notified through  G/SPS/N/BRA/2124/Add.1 - was rectified. This Ordinance approves the official methods for carrying out tests of official programs and controls of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.It is noteworthy that there was no change in requirements already established in international trade. The published Ordinance is a consolidatory act, aiming to increase transparency and allow greater speed in improving the analytical methodologies used by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, as the documents are received in a single environment, with version control and periodic reviews. The manual of analytical methods used in the control of fertilizers, correctives and inoculants has been revised and is available, the others, as the information is updated, will be made available at the link: https://wikisda.agricultura.gov.br/, in the folder “Laboratórios”, in Portuguese.
