The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates (MOCCAE) would like to inform its international partners and competent authorities that, as part of its digital transformation and service enhancement efforts, manual official stamps on veterinary health certificates have been replaced with secure electronic digital stamps.This update applies to all health certificates issued through MOCCAE's electronic system for the following services:Application for a Veterinary Health Certificate for Export or Re-export of Live Animals;Application for a Veterinary Health Certificate for Export or Re-export of Animal Products;Animal By-products, Fish and Fishery Products, and Manufactured Feed.The electronic digital stamp is officially issued and verified through MOCCAE's digital certification system. This measure enhances document security, traceability, and authenticity, while facilitating faster processing and international verification. The implementation of this change will take effect starting 23 February 2026. Following the notification published by the World Organisation for Animal Health regarding the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) in the Slovak Republic, the United Arab Emirates is applying a precautionary sanitary measure to prevent the risk of introducing HPAI virus through the imports of live birds and their products from the Slovak Republic.These measures include:To ban the import of all types of live poultry and wild birds, ornamental birds, hatching eggs, day-old chicks, and untreated poultry by-products from the Slovak Republic until the health situation stabilizes;To apply the import mechanism for falcons from high-risk countries to imports from the Slovak Republic;To continue allowing the import of heat-treated poultry by-products from the Slovak Republic;To continue allowing the importation of non-heat-treated poultry products and by-products from the Slovak Republic, in accordance with the agreed health certificates for poultry meat and its products, and table eggs and their products.
