The notified draft Decree sets out the conditions to be met by animal isolation units approved in the country of origin for export to Uruguay, in order to prevent the introduction of animal diseases.

The notified draft Decree adopts the animal health requirements of MERCOSUR States Parties to regulate the entry and circulation of domestic dogs and cats in the territory of Uruguay, the corresponding model international veterinary certificate, and the model certificate regarding certain additional health requirements.

The notified draft Decree incorporates the phytosanitary import requirements of MERCOSUR States Parties for fresh citrus fruits coming from the MERCOSUR States Parties.

The notified Resolution temporarily suspends, with a view to safeguarding Uruguay's sanitary status, imports from Germany of live animals, products of animal origin and genetic material of animal species susceptible to foot and mouth disease, until Germany regains its foot and mouth disease-free status as recognized by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

The draft Decree adopts the general criteria of MERCOSUR States Parties for the assessment and recognition of the sanitary status of exporting countries, in order to harmonize criteria for the assessment and recognition of the sanitary status of third countries for animal diseases that have an impact on international trade.

The notified draft Decree defines the microbiological criteria for ready-to-eat foods unable to support the growth of Listeria monocytogenes and the microbiological criteria for ready-to-eat foods able to support the growth of Listeria monocytogenes, and amends the National Bromatological Regulations approved by Decree No. 315/994 of 5 July 1994 accordingly.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of in vitro banana plants and fresh bananas for trade among MERCOSUR States parties. It also repeals GMC Resolution No. 23/16 on the same subject, approved by Resolution No. 60/018 of the Directorate-General of Agricultural Services of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries.

The notified draft Decree updates the animal health requirements for the importation of wild or ornamental captive birds, approved by GMC Resolution No. 16/23, "Animal health requirements of the MERCOSUR States Parties for the importation of captive birds (wild or ornamental)", and the model for the international veterinary certificate. The draft Decree also repeals Decree No. 174/022, which incorporated into national legislation GMC Resolution No. 19/20.

The notified draft Decree updates the animal health requirements for the importation of birds as pets, approved by GMC Resolution No. 17/23, "Animal health requirements of the MERCOSUR States parties for the importation of birds as pets", and the model for the international veterinary certificate. The draft Decree also repeals Decree No. 149/022, which incorporated into national legislation GMC Resolution No. 20/20.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) plants and in vitro plants, and fresh and dried strawberries, for trade among MERCOSUR member States, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 08/23. Furthermore, it repeals GMC Resolution No. 07/10, which was incorporated by Directorate-General of Agricultural Services (DGSA) Resolution No. 22 of 13 June 2011, published in the Official Journal on 20 October 2011. DGSA Resolution No. 22 was therefore also repealed.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of shelled and unshelled groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) grains and groundnut seeds for trade among MERCOSUR member States, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 09/23. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution No. 81 of 20 June 2018, which had incorporated the previous GMC Resolution No. 57/06.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of Persea americana (avocado) plants, in vitro plants, seeds, cuttings and fruit, for trade among MERCOSUR member States, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 10/23. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution No. 105 of 20 August 2018, published in the Official Journal on 12 September 2018, which had incorporated the previous GMC Resolution No. 21/18.

The notified draft decree updates the harmonized phytosanitary requirements to be applied by the National Plant Protection Organizations of MERCOSUR States Parties for regional trade in beetroot (Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris var. conditiva) seeds and roots. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution No. 83/018 of 20 June 2018.

The notified text updates the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of Avena sativa seed and grain, for trade among MERCOSUR States Parties, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 13/22. It also repeals the Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution of 13 June 2011.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of Brassica napus var. oleifera (rapeseed) seed and grain for trade among MERCOSUR States parties, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 37/22. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services (DGSA) Resolution No. 08/013, which incorporated GMC Resolution No. 10/12 of 14 June 2012 into national law.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of plants, cuttings, in vitro plants and fresh fruit of Actinidia chinensis (kiwifruit) for trade among MERCOSUR States parties, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 04/22.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of sorghum (Sorghum spp) seed and grain for trade among MERCOSUR States parties, as approved by GMC Resolution No. 38/22. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution No. 40 of 26 October 2011.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for soya beans and soya-bean seeds, bran and sprouts through the incorporation of GMC Resolution No. 06/22 into positive law. It also repeals Directorate-General of Agricultural Services Resolution No. 58/018 of 27 April 2018, which had incorporated the previous version (GMC Resolution No. 22/16 of 15 June 2016) into positive law.

The notified draft Decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of different presentations of barley (Hordeum vulgare) for trade among MERCOSUR State Parties, approved by Common Market Group (GMC) Resolution No. 14/22.

The notified draft decree updates the phytosanitary requirements for rice for MERCOSUR member States, approved by GMC Resolution No. 45/21. It also repeals Resolution No. 71 of the Directorate-General of Agricultural Services of 28 January 2021, which incorporates MERCOSUR Common Market Group (GMC) Resolution No. 07/20 "Phytosanitary requirements for Oryza sativa (rice) according to country of destination and origin, for member States" (Repeal of GMC Resolution No. 39/03).
