Following the WOAH reported outbreak of Avian Influenza (HPAI) in areas of the Netherlands, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

Following the WOAH reported outbreak of Avian Influenza (HPAI) in areas of Hungary, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád-Csanád, Hajdú-Bihar, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok of Hungary is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The Draft Ministry of Public Health notification entitled " Prescribing the principle, conditions, methods and proportion of food additives (No. 3)", previously notified in G/SPS/N/THA/581 dated 13 September 2022, was adopted and published in the Royal Gazette dated 6 December 2023 as Notification of the Ministry of Public Health No. 444.Date of entry into force: 7 December 2023 (This notification shall come into force after the day following date of its publication in the Royal Gazette).Text available at:

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 25 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of Foot and Mouth Disease in Myanmar has expired on 26 November 2023. However, Myanmar has no self-declaration for the recovery of country freedom from Foot and Mouth Disease from WOAH. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Foot and Mouth Disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558, the importation or transit of goat and sheep and their products under the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015) from Myanmar is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days from 26 November 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 25 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of Foot and Mouth Disease in Myanmar has expired on 26 November 2023. However, Myanmar has no self-declaration for the recovery of country freedom from Foot and Mouth Disease from WOAH. According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 4 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Indonesia since 6 August 2023, has expired on 4 November 2023. However, the WOAH has reported that Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) is an endemic disease in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Indonesia is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of India. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live domestic pig and wild pigs and their carcasses from India is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 4 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from South Africa since 6 August 2023, has expired on 4 November 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of South Africa. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from South Africa is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette .

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 13 July 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Brazil has expired on 12 October 2023. However, the WOAH reported Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Brazil. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Brazil is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 26 July 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United Kingdom has expired on 25 October 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in many areas of the United Kingdom. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Highland, Isle of Lewis, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Aberdeenshire of the United Kingdom is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 4 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live domestic pig and wild pigs and their carcasses from Italy since 6 August 2023, has expired on 4 November 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Italy. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Italy is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette .

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 4 August 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of bovine and buffalo and their products from Cambodia  has expired on 4 November 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of lumpy skin disease into the country in the area of Cambodia. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of lumpy skin disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of bovine and buffalo and their products from Cambodia is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 13 June 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live domestic pig and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany since 14 June 2023 has expired on 12 September 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live domestic pig and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (11 October 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 19 June 2023, the suspension for importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines since 25 June 2023 has expired on 23 September 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Philippines. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (11 October 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 19 June 2023, the suspension for importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from India since 19 June 2023 has expired on 17 September 2023. However, the WOAH reported an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of India. Therefore it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from India is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (11 October 2023).

By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from United States of America is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (11 October 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 2 June 2023, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Chinese Taipei, since 6 June 2023 has expired on 4 September 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Chinese Taipei. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Chinese Taipei is temporarily suspended for   a period of 90 days after publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (2 October 2023). Except the feathers and down of poultry that have been processed in the approved establishment by the DLD and these commoditiesthat have been processed to ensure the destruction of avian influenza virus recommended by WOAH terrestrial Animal Health code topics 10.4.22 and 10.4.23 which use one of the following methods:-         washed and steam-dried at 100ºC for 30 minutes;-         fumigation with formalin (10% formaldehyde) for 8 hours;-        irradiation with a dose of 20 kilogray
