According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 6 February 2023, the suspension for the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from India since 7 February 2023has expired on 7 May 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of India. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from India is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days from 8 May 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is proposing to revise the MOPH notification concerning "Food products Required to bear Nutrition Labelling and Guideline Daily Amounts, GDA Labelling" as follows: Clause 1. Clause 5(1) of the notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 394) B.E. 2561 (2018) issued by virtue of the Food Act B.E. 2522 entitled “Food products Required to bear Nutrition Labelling and Guideline Daily Amounts, GDA Labelling” shall be repealed and replaced with the following texts: “(1) Nutrition Labelling shall be complied with format and provisions of displaying of nutrition information of attachment No.1 of the Notification of Ministry of Public Health, Re: Nutrition Labelling”.Clause 2. Labelling of food products in Clause 3 of the notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 394) B.E. 2561 (2018) issued by virtue of the Food Act B.E. 2522 entitled “Food products Required to bear Nutrition Labelling and Guideline Daily Amounts, GDA Labelling” prior to the date of this notification come into force can still be sold but not more than three years from the date of this notification come into force. After this period, the nutrition labelling shall be displayed according to this notification.Clause 3. This notification shall come into force after 180 days from its publication in the Government Gazette.This draft Ministry of Public Health Notification was also notified under the TBT notification as G/TBT/N/THA/15/Rev.2/Add.2.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 10 January 2023, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland has expired on 10 April 2023. However, the WOAH reported Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the areas of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (18 April 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 26 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from France has expired on 26 March 2023. However, The WOAH reported, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of France. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into     the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of   live poultry and poultry carcasses from VENDEE, VAUCLUSE, TARN-ET-GARONNE,  DEUX-SEVRES, MAINE-ET-LOIRE, LOIRE-ATLANTIQUE, GERS, EURE and COTES-D’ARMOR of France is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in  the Thai Royal Gazette (5 April 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 20 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United Kingdom since 21 December 2022 and 10 January 2023 has expired on 20 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported continued an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in many the area of United Kingdom. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Essex, Norflox, Lancashire,  Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Sussex, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, West midlands, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Cumbria, Aberdeenshire, Dumfries and Galloway, and Fife of United Kingdom is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (5 April 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 16 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines since 27 December 2022 has expired on 26 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of the Philippines. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 27 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 26 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Hungary has expired on 26 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Békés of Hungary. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Békés of Hungary is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 27 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 20 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands has expired on 20 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of the Netherlands. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Netherlands is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 21 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 20 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United States of America has expired on 20 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of the United States of America. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the United States of America is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 21 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 20 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Spain has expired on 20 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Spain. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Spain is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 21 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 15 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Hungary has expired on 15 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Bacs-Kiskun,  Csongrád  and Hajdú-Bihar of Hungary. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and    poultry carcasses from Bacs-Kiskun, Csongrád  and Hajdú-Bihar of Hungary is temporarily  suspended for a period of 90 days since 16 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

The standard entitled "Good Agricultural Practices for Pig Farm" has been previously notified by the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in G/SPS/N/THA/419 dated 23 June 2021. The standard has been published in the Royal Gazette dated 3 February 2023.Date of entry into force:(1)  90 days after its publication in the Royal Gazette (4 May 2023), will be applied for pig farms in which not less than 1,500 fattening pigs or not less than 120 sows are raised;(2)  180 days after its publication in the Royal Gazette (2 August 2023), will be applied for pig farms in which 500-1,499 fattening pigs or 95-119 sows are raised.This standard shall not come into force for pig farms governed under organic livestock and ground pen pig (Moo-loom) farming by the Department of Livestock Development.

The procedure provides for approving the requirements of the production facility for animal feed importation, which has been issued under the Animal Feed Quality Control Act B.E. 2558 (2015):1.  An on-site inspection of the production facility of animal feed derived from animal at the exporting country (Establishment audit):(A)  For a country that has never exported the animal feeds, is required to have a   production facility audit and approval prior the exportation;(B)  For the country that previously has exported animal feeds, is required to have a production facility audit and approval prior the exportation.2.  A System audit of the production facility of animal feed derived from animals at the exporting country.In addition, the animal feeds specified in the Department of Livestock Development notification under the Animal Feed Quality Control Act B.E. 2558 (2015) are required to have a production facility audit and approval prior the exportation. According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 16 December 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany since 16 December 2022 has expired on 15 March 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 16 March 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 November 2022, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Chinese Taipei since 13 November 2022 has expired on 10 February 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) (Subtype H5N2) in the area of Chinese Taipei. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Chinese Taipei is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette. (7 march 2023), except the feathers and down of poultry that have been processed in the approved establishment by the DLD and these commoditiesthat have been processed to ensure the destruction of avian influenza virus recommended by WOAH terrestrial Animal Health code topics 10.4.22 and 10.4.23 which use one of the following methods:-         washed and steam-dried at 100ºC for 30 minutes;-         fumigation with formalin (10% formaldehyde) for 8 hours;-         irradiation with a dose of 20 kilogray.

However, the WOAH has reported a continued an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (7 March 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 November 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Indonesia since 13 November 2022 has expired on 10 February 2023 in the area of Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Indonesia is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (7 March 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 November 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Viet Nam since 13 November 2022 has expired on 10 February 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued an outbreak of African Swine Fever in the area of Viet Nam. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Viet Nam is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (7 March 2023).

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 11 November 2022, the suspension for importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Myanmar since 13 November 2022 has expired on 10 February 2023. However, Myanmar has no self-declaration for the recovery of country freedom from African swine fever from WOAH. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of African Swine Fever disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live domestic and wild pigs and their carcasses from Myanmar is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (7 February 2023).
