The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Polandto prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Subtype H5N1)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 10 January 2023, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland has expired on 10 April 2023. However, the WOAH reported Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the areas of Poland. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Poland is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (18 April 2023).
