Morphological Features
Adult male: body elongate, narrowest anteriorly, widest across abdomen, length 1073–1118 μm, width across abdomen 521–611 μm. Unmounted material: body oval, lightly convex dorsally, brown in colour. Divisions into head, thorax and abdomen poorly defined. Antennae somewhat sclerotised, elongate, directed posteriorly, each 370–529 μm long with 10 poorly defined segments. Legs long and slender, metathoracic leg longest. Penial sheath sclerotised, roundly triangular, 36–38 μm long and 34–36 μm wide. Body and appendages covered with numerous setae, mostly fleshy setae. Dorsal head setae present; ventral head setae present. Wings present; ratio of total body length to wing length 1:0.63–0.68. Abdominal glandular pouches and associated setae present.
