Diaphorina citri, the Asian citrus psyllid, is a sap-sucking, hemipteran bug now in the taxonomic family Liviidae. It is one of two confirmed vectors of citrus greening disease. It has a wide distribution in southern Asia and has spread to other citrus growing regions.

Morphological Features
Adults are brownish, 1.53–2.06 mm long, with greyish-white head and genal processes, red-brown eyes, and antennae with dark-tipped segments. Forewings are hyaline with an irregular maculation pattern, 2.4× as long as wide, lacking a distinct pterostigma. Hind wings are slender, 0.9× forewing length. Abdomen black dorsally, greenish-white ventrally. Eggs are elongate oval, 0.31 × 0.15 mm, light yellow turning orange with red eye spots at maturity. First-instar nymphs are yellowish, elongate, with 2-segmented antennae and 7 pairs of marginal sectasetae.
