Conocephalus saltator

Body length with wings 13.9–27.7 mm in males, 14–29.8 mm in females. Tegmen length 6.5–22.6 mm in males, 3.9–24.4 mm in females. Pronotum length 2.9–3.7 mm in males, 3.2–3.5 mm in females. Hind femur length 12.6–14.7 mm in males, 12.2–15 mm in females. Ovipositor length 11–13.3 mm, nearly as long as hind femur (ratio 0.87–0.90), mostly straight. Fastigium of vertex as wide as scapus or 3/4 of scapus, sides slightly diverging toward apex. Outer ventral edge of hind femur armed with 1–5 minute spines (or unarmed with 2–4 minute black spines). Coloration light green, with a brown stripe on top of head and pronotum; posterior half of abdomen in male orange to yellowish-brown, cerci light brown; upper surface of abdomen in females usually brownish, lower surface green. Male stridulatory file 1.34 mm long with 55 teeth (or 1.315–1.147 mm with 40–43 teeth on left, 0.884–0.999 mm with 28–31 teeth on right).
