Aleurocanthus woglumi

Aleurocanthus woglumi is a species of whitefly in the family Aleyrodidae. It is a pest of citrus crops, and is commonly known as the citrus blackfly because of its slate-blue colour. It originated in Asia, but has spread to other parts of the world. The parasitic wasps, Encarsia perplexa and Amitus hesperidum can help control the pest.

Morphological Features
Puparium black. Puparial margin covered with wax secretion. Margin toothed; about 3.5–5 teeth per 0.1 mm of margin (Martin 1987). Dorsal disc spines acute; submargin usually with 11 pairs of stout spines in a row with cephalothoracic and caudal pairs alternately longer than adjacent ones. Adults have dark bodies and dusky wings; females about 1.25 mm in length, males up to 1.05 mm and slightly smaller
