Morphological Features
Adult body length 11–16 mm, width 6–8 mm. Dorsal background colour predominantly green, ranging from bright to olive grade; colour also varies to red, dark blue, or black. Dorsal surface with a thin covering of tawny hairs and setae; ventral surface with a thick covering of tawny hairs and setae, adorned with yellow markings. Pronotum with a discoidal yellow spot and a yellow marginal line. Each elytron bears three to four yellow markings on the outer margin and about three near the inner margin; discal spots on pronotum and elytra may fade completely in exceptional cases. White maculation can vary in extent.
