Dyspessa ulula

Cossus marbré (Le), Garlic Mottled, Petite marbrure (La)

Dyspessa ulula, the garlic mottled, is a species of moth of the family Cossidae. It is found from central and southern Europe through Russia to central Asia. It is also found in Syria, Iran, Iraq and parts of North Africa. The larvae feed on Allium species, including Allium flavum, Allium vienale, Allium spaerocephalon and Allium sativum. Development of the larvae takes multiple years.
