Xylosandrus crassiusculus, known generally as the Asian ambrosia beetle or granulate ambrosia beetle, is a species of tropical bark beetle in the family Curculionidae. It is native to Asia and has spread to Africa, Europe, Australasia and the Americas. The adult beetle is reddish-brown and some 2 to 3 mm (0.08 to 0.12 in) long.

Morphological Features
Female: body length 2.2–2.5 mm. Frons weakly convex with a distinct median line, surface coarsely granulate, with a few distinct carinulae on either side of median line converging towards epistomal margin; vestiture of long, sparse hairs on frons, denser on epistomal margin. Antennal club obliquely truncate on anterior face (type 1). Pronotum as long as wide, rounded from dorsal view and basic from lateral view. Elytra 1.25× as long as pronotum, 1.30× as long as wide; declivity somewhat convex, gradually sloping, feebly elevated towards sutural apex, dull, with dense long setae and dense, scattered granules; vestiture of small fine hairs and uniseriate rows of long stout setae.
