Diabrotica barberi, the northern corn rootworm, is a species of skeletonizing leaf beetle in the family Chrysomelidae. It is found in North America. Adults feed on corn, and, when corn is unavailable, goldenrod pollen.

Morphological Features
Adults 4.8-5.6 mm long, 2.0-2.5 mm wide. Body elongate, subparallel. Color entirely pale yellowish-green, except head yellow, antennae with some black segments, pronotum and elytra green, ventral surfaces yellow. Femora uniformly yellow-green or olive-ocher (not bicolored), tibiae sometimes bicolored with dark outer edges, tarsi black or dark brown. Head with labrum and mandibles black or piceous. Larvae are small, wrinkled, yellowish-white, 10-18 mm long at maturity, with brown head capsule. Distinguished from D. virgifera by uniformly green coloration of femora.
