Acrobasis pirivorella
Pear Moth
Acrobasis pyrivorella, the pear fruit moth, pear moth or pear pyralid, is a moth of the family Pyralidae. It is native to the temperate zone of eastern Asia, where it is widely distributed. It has been recorded from northern China, the Korean Peninsula, Japan, Taiwan and Russia (Primor'ye and Khabarovskii provinces). The wingspan is 14.5 C21.5 mm. In Russia, adults are on wing from mid July to mid-August and again in September. The first generation adults bore into the bud and go into hibernation.

Morphological Features
Adult: wingspan 23–30 mm, greyish with violet tinge; forewings with two transverse stripes and crescent-shaped dark spot between them; hindwings yellowish-grey. Egg: 1 mm, flat-elliptical, yellow turning reddish before hatching. Larva: first instar rose-pink with black head; fully grown dark-green dorsally, pale-yellow ventrally, 12 mm long, with blackish-brown head and pale-brown legs. Pupa: oval, 10–12 mm, brown, with darker spiracles.
