Morphological Features

Worker. Head colored as in C. maculatus; thorax yellow below, brown above; scutellum and metanotum with yellowish spots; scale yellow; gaster colored as in maculatus but spots smaller and more triangular. In one specimen, dorsal spots of gaster reduced to two small round spots on second segment. Appressed pubescence sparse on head, visible with good lens; almost absent on thorax and gaster.
