Chilecomadia valdiviana is a moth of the family Cossidae. It is found in Argentina and Chile (from Atacama to Ais n). The wingspan is 48 C60 mm. The larvae feed on Nothofagus and Salix species and are considered a pest in Chilean eucalyptus plantations. They have been reported on Eucalyptus globulus globulus, Eucalyptus nitens, Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Eucalyptus delegatensis and Eucalyptus viminalis.

Morphological Features
Larva eruciform, somewhat whitish with some pink to reddish tints; body length up to 50 mm. Sparse dark setae arising from dark tubercles.
