Morphological Features
Larva: maximum dimensions 52.9 × 23.6 mm, head width 10.5 mm. Head with two well-developed frontal setae (fs3 and fs5) on each side; fs4 minute or short. Epipharynx with first pair of median epipharyngeal setae (mes1) well distinguishable, separated by a smaller distance than the second pair (mes2); mes2 thick and more widely separated; anterolateral setae (als) five to eight on each side, none placed proximally near the clypeal limit. Labral rods V-shaped, more separated apically than near base. Dorsal malar setae (dms) without pubescence at their bases, number about 20. Lateral margin of terminal disc curved inward. Adult: base of pronotum markedly extended posteriorly; scutellum very small, about 1/10 the length of the elytra. Male with profemora densely setose on ventral face.
