Department of Agriculture Memorandum Order No. 9 Series of 2022 Temporary Suspension of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Import Clearance for Domestic and Wild Pigs and their Products Including Pork Meat, Pig Skin, Porcine Processed Animal Proteins and Semen Originating from Thailand

The Order, signed on 31 January 2022, insitutes the following measures for the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products from Thailand: (1) Banning the importation of live swine and their products, including pork meat, pig skin, porcine processed animal proteins and semen; (2) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above-stated commodities into the country by all DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.
