The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports that on the basis of the official notification of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WAHIS), an outbreak of the Siberian plague was registered in Botosani of Romania. In this regard, since 1 December 2022, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from Botosani of Romania of all types of agricultural and wild animals, genetic material obtained from them, meat and meat products, milk and dairy products (with the exception of heat-treated according to article 8.1.7. Terrestrial Animal Health Code), raw materials obtained from susceptible animals, horn-hoofed raw materials (horns, antlers, hooves), hunting trophies (with the exception of those that have undergone taxidermy treatment), leather, hide and bristles (ruminants, equids and pigs) with Botosani of Romania, as well as transit through the territory of Kazakhstan of all types of agricultural and wild animals from the above territories. With regard to the above goods shipped before 1 December 2022, the decision to let them pass is made in the usual manner.
