The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, in pursuance of paragraph 3 of the Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of 16 May 2016 No. 149 "On the procedure for interaction between authorized bodies of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union in the introduction of temporary sanitary, veterinary-sanitary and quarantine phytosanitary measures" reports that, based on official information from the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Newcastle disease has been registered in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. In this regard, from 2 July 2025, temporary restrictions will be introduced on the import into the territory of Kazakhstan of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 °C), feed and feed additives for birds (except for feed additives of chemical and microbiological synthesis), hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy treatment (feathered game), down and feathers, as well as used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds, as well as on the transit of live poultry from the above-mentioned territory through the territory of Kazakhstan.

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports a deterioration in the epizootic situation with African swine fever in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation. In this regard, since 4 July 2025, temporary restrictions are introduced on the importation into the territory of Kazakhstan of live pigs and boar semen; pork meat, including from wild boars and its processed products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 °C for at least 30 minutes); leather, horn and hoof and intestinal raw materials, bristles, hunting trophies obtained from susceptible animal species; feed and feed additives for animals of plant and animal origin, including poultry and fish; feed additives for cats and dogs that have not undergone heat treatment (at a temperature of at least 70°C for at least 30 minutes); used equipment for the transportation of pigs, products and raw materials of animal origin, keeping, slaughtering and cutting pigs, as well as transit from the above-mentioned territory through the territory of Kazakhstan of live pigs.

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports that on the basis of the official notification of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WAHIS), an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was registered in the State of Rio Grande do Sul of Brazil. In this regard, since 25 May 2025, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from the territory of the State of Rio Grande do Sul of Brazil of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 °C), feed and feed additives for birds (except for feed additives of chemical and microbiological synthesis), hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy treatment (feathered game), down and feathers, used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds, as well as for transit from the above-mentioned territory through the territory of Kazakhstan of live poultry.

In this regard, since 25 May 2025, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from the territory of Cejkovice region of the Czech Republic of live poultry and hatching eggs, down and feathers, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 °C), feed and feed additives for birds (except for feed additives of chemical and microbiological synthesis), hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy (game birds), used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds, as well as for transit from the above territory through the territory of Kazakhstan of live birds.

Kazakhstan notified in G/SPS/N/KAZ/127 (30 March 2023) the Letters of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan on the introduction of temporary restrictions on the importation into the territory of Kazakhstan from the Trnava and Bratislava Regions of the Slovak Republic of live poultry and hatching eggs, down and feathers, poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (at least 70 °C), feed and feed additives for birds (except for feed additives of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis), hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy treatment (feather game), used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds, as well as the transit of live poultry through the territory of Kazakhstan.The notified measure was modified by the Letter of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
