Food Notice: Requirements for Registered Food Importers and Imported Food for Sale

This Food Notice specifies requirements for New Zealand registered importers and imported food for sale. Parts 5, 6 and Schedule 1 of the Food Notice contains the import requirements for specified foods that require food safety clearance to be permitted entry into New Zealand.Changes made:Update products permitted entry from Chinese Taipei in Part 6, Table 1, to include cooked bovine meat products;Update products permitted entry from Australia in Part 6, Table 1, to include bovine meat products processed or manufactured in New Zealand;Updates the list of countries that can use an official certificate for clearance for entry of pasteurised fresh cheese, curd cheese and soft cheese in Schedule 1, to include Switzerland.
