The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports that on the basis of the official notification of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), an outbreak of bluetongue was registered in the Flemish region of Belgium. In this regard, since 17 November 2023, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from the Flemish region of Belgium of cattle and small cattle, wild, zoo and circus animals, susceptible to bluetongue, camels and other representatives of the camel family (llamas, alpacas, vicunas), sperm of bulls, rams and stud goats, embryos of cattle and small cattle, with the exception of those obtained in vivo in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 4.8. WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Code, as well as for the transit from the above territories through the territory of Kazakhstan of cattle and small ruminants and susceptible species of animals.
