Department of Agriculture Memorandum Order No. 03, Series of 2024, Temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen originating from the States of California and Ohio, USA

The Order, signed on 15 January 2024, bans the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen from California and Ohio, United States of America. It also immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of application, and issuance of SPS import clearance for the said goods. All shipments that are in transit/loaded/accepted unto port before the official communication of this order to the American authorities shall be allowed provided the products were slaughtered/slaughtered 14 days before the first outbreak in the particular locality.
