Amendment toPersonal Consignments of Animal Products Import Health Standard, PERSONAL.ALL

As a result of a FMD outbreak in Germany, reported on 9 January 2025, the Personal Consignments of Animal Products Import Health Standard was urgently amended to restrict pork, beef, lamb/mutton, goat and venison imported as meat and meat products under clause 2.10.5; and as food for companion animals under clause 3.3 to FMD-free countries officially recognised by the WOAH. The suspensions for clauses 2.3 and 2.10 for Indonesia were reinstated, and clarification that animal foods imported under clause 3.3 cannot be raw was added.
