Letter of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan on the introduction of temporary restrictions on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from Varaždin, Sisak-Moslavina and Istria counties of Croatia of cattle and small ruminants, wild, zoo and circus animals susceptible to bluetongue, camels and other representatives of the camel family (llamas, alpacas, vicunas), semen of bulls, rams and goats, embryos of cattle and small rumin

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports that on the basis of the official notification of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), an outbreak of bluetongue disease was registered in Varaždin, Sisak-Moslavina and Istria counties of Croatia. In this regard, since 6 December 2024, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation to the territory of Kazakhstan from Varaždin, Sisak-Moslavina and Istria counties of Croatia of cattle and small ruminants, wild, zoo and circus animals susceptible to bluetongue, camels and other representatives of the camel family (llamas, alpacas, vicunas), semen of bulls, rams and goats, embryos of cattle and small ruminants, with the exception of those obtained in vivo in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 4.8. of the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Code, as well as transit from the above-mentioned territories through the territory of Kazakhstan of cattle and small ruminants and susceptible animal species. With regard to the above-mentioned goods shipped before 6 December 2024, the decision to let them pass is made in the usual manner.
