Description
Pursuant to Articles 11, 13 and 14 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, this Law provides the conditions to protect human health and life; improve the livelihood of citizens and food safety; ensure the safety of imported, exported, and domestic produced foods; and to ensure the provision of safe and quality food; in accordance with international obligations including relevant WTO agreements.
The Law contains a total of six chapters, comprising 30 articles, dealing with:
I. General Provisions;
II. Food Safety Control Responsibility;
III. Food and Its Trade Requirements;
IV. Inspections;
V. Penalties; and
VI. Miscellaneous.
