Import Health Standard (IHS) 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock, Citrus, Fortunella and Poncirus schedules

The risk management proposal (RMP) describes in detail the proposed revision of the Citrus, Fortunella and Poncirus schedules of the Import Health Standard (IHS) 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock, which can be viewed at the following link:

The RMP also provides technical justifications. Some of the main changes proposed for the standard are:
- The schedules for Citrus (citrus), Fortunella (kumquat) and Poncirus (trifoliate orange) have been combined into one schedule, referred to as Citrus;
- 22 citrus pests which are present in New Zealand and have a non-regulated status have been removed from the pest list;
- 11 organisms are proposed to be added to the Citrus pest list with specific phytosanitary measures;
- Five additional organisms are proposed to be added to the Citrus pest list without specific phytosanitary measures.
