Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs, from Kuwait to the UAE

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from Kuwait. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 2) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Kuwait on 19 April 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Kuwait is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Kuwait is negligible now.
