Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, and eggs, from Vidin, Vraca, Plovdiv, Jambol, Sofija provinces in Bulgaria

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from Vidin, Vraca, Plovdiv, Jambol, Sofija provinces in Bulgaria. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 5) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza on 5 June 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Bulgaria is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Bulgaria is negligible now.
