Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs, from Odessa, Chernovtsy and Kherson provinces in Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from Odessa, Chernovtsy and Kherson provinces in Ukraine. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 2) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Ukraine on 14 May 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Ukraine is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Ukraine is negligible now.
