Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs, from Bratislava in the Slovak Republic to the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from the Slovak Republic. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 10) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Bratislava in the Slovak Republic on 9 August 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Bratislava in the Slovak Republic is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Bratislava in the Slovak Republic is negligible now.
