Lifting of the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs, from Lincoln province in the state of Tennessee, United States of America to the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products including poultry meat, day-old chicks and eggs originating from Lincoln province in the state of Tennessee, United States of America. This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 4) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in the United States of America on 11 August 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, the United States of America is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Lincoln province in the state of Tennessee, United States of America is negligible now.
