Lifting the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by‑product, day-old chicks, hatching eggs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and imposition of a temporary ban on poultry meat and table eggs from Prijedor in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The United Arab Emirates is lifting the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-product, day-old chicks, hatching eggs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and imposition of a temporary ban on poultry meat and table eggs from Prijedor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting from 17 October 2017.
This follows the publishing of the Final report (Follow-up report No. 2) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza on 20 March 2017, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Bosnia and Herzegovina is now free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza disease. The risk of contamination from importing poultry and poultry products from Bosnia and Herzegovina is now negligible.
