Working Draft-Philippine National Standards- Fresh and Quick Frozen Raw Scallops Products

This standard applies to scallops species of the Pectinidae family in the following product categories: (i) "Fresh or Quick Frozen Scallop Meat", which is the scallop adductor muscle meat; (ii) "Fresh or Quick Frozen Roe-on Scallop Meat", which is the scallop adductor muscle meat and attached roe (with or without shell); and (iii) "Quick Frozen Scallop Meat", or "Quick Frozen Roe-on Scallop Meat", with added water and/or solutions of water and phosphates. Products covered by this standard may be intended for direct consumption or for further processing.
